One day you wake up and realize you’ve been neglecting your blog for nearly two months. Oops…
…in unrelated news: Today was my birthday. I’m officially 24 and, I’ve discovered over the last week, am completely unable to pretend that I’m anything but an adult. I asked for (and was extremely excited to receive) stainless steel serving utensils and dining room chairs; it’s a sure sign of my inevitable decline to the geriatric ward. There’s no turning back. Of course…
…that may not prevent me from throwing out all of the advice I’ve ever received about careers. A job that I’m naturally inclined towards that’s constantly evolving (and therefore keeping me far from boredom) that makes me happy despite providing a fairly fluid paycheck? Sounds pretty good to me right about now. The practical, left brain side of me is begging for mercy as it dies a sudden and painful death. Viva la vie boheme baby…
…Christmas has come and gone. It’s a much different event when a small child is involved – way more fun. Chloe’s now huge and walking. She’s also learning what it means to possess something, ie she responds loudly when you take something away from her (though all you have to do is roll a rubber bouncy ball past her and she’s immediately distracted). This is one happy kid; Natalie has no idea how blessed she is to have gotten this child. On behalf of her and all of my family, thank you Jesus.
…in the last three days I’ve also thought about becoming a personal shopper. I’m freaking awesome when comes to finding cool gifts. My dearest Chris will benefit greatly from my God given talents in the next 10 days or so (assuming that packages actually make it to Korea – I’m still unconvinced). Of course, I don’t really enjoy shopping so that would be a problem…
…in my ongoing (if not entirely recent) effort to stop pretending I’m not an adult I have decided to join the rest of America and go into debt. It’s worth it though – especially since I can pay off the loan quickly and not have to worry about having a dead car for another 10 years. It comes sometime between February 1st and 15th; I’m 95% settled on the name but want to drive her just to make sure it fits well. Ugh, bad pun unintended.

Well, that’s all that’s noteworthy and easy to write at 2:30 in the morning. Feel free to send me gifts for my birthday!
